By accessing and using SubPreflight (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.

1. Service Description

SubPreflight provides client-side, browser-based tools for parsing, validating, repairing, and converting subtitle files (e.g., SRT, WebVTT, SBV). All processing occurs strictly on your local device.

2. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

SubPreflight is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, subtitle formats and standards (e.g., YouTube's processing limits) can change. We make no guarantees that files repaired by the Service will be flawless or universally accepted by third-party platforms.

In no event shall SubPreflight, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to lost data, missed broadcast deadlines, or publishing errors.

3. Intellectual Property and User Content

  • Your Rights: You retain all ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights to the subtitle files and text you process using the Service.
  • No Uploads: Because SubPreflight operates entirely within your browser's local memory, we do not upload, host, process on our servers, or claim any rights to your content.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to:

  • Process material that violates the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attack the Service infrastructure.
  • Automate usage of the Service via bots or scraping in a manner that degrades performance for human users.

5. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We do so by posting and drawing attention to the updated terms on this site. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the site after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
